AI Strategy & Risk

Build-vs-buy, vendor truth-serum, regulation radar, and a one-page AI strategy your org can actually execute.

4 stages~6 h
That leaves 4 stages, ~6 hours of focused work. You can clear it in any order, but the stages compound — try them top-to-bottom your first time.
  1. You'll pick up:

moat vs mop, proprietary data, table stakes, budget separation, urgency calibration

    Lab task

Build an "advantage or hygiene" sorter page: 12 example AI initiatives as cards you drag onto a two-column board, each flip revealing the reasoning (data moat? speed? commodity?) — ending with your own org's three candidates.

    Build it in the Lab
    Checkpoint

You can place every AI proposal in your pipeline on the map — and say which column gets the bigger budget and why.

What you'll be able to do
  • Sort any AI idea into "advantage" or "hygiene" and fund them differently.
  • Interrogate a vendor's demo until the real product boundary shows.
  • Name the three regulatory risks most likely to touch your sector this year.
  • Write the one-page AI strategy: advantage, hygiene, guardrails, owners, and the explicit NOT-list.
